Young Thug was discharged from jail in October, but he has not put out any new songs yet. Yet, a promising update was delivered by the rapper’s sister, Dora Williams, on Thursday (Nov. 28).
“My brother is losing his mind over the new music. I assure you all that you will not be let down. Simply allow him the space to recover emotionally,” she stated on Twitter. He lost four individuals in 2022 and was incarcerated, dealing with a legal battle for two years. While struggling to survive, we unfortunately lost our sister in 2023. “He will arrive soon.”

After considering a 45-year sentence, the “Digits” artist ultimately received credit for time served on several charges and was given a sentence of 15 years probation. The remaining time will be waived if the probation is completed successfully. Young Thug admitted to his crimes and took responsibility before being released from court. “I am an intelligent man.” I am a kind person, and I truly have a compassionate heart.
Young Thug’s older sister, Angela Grier, died approximately one year after he started serving his sentence. He was given permission by the court to temporarily leave in order to go to her funeral.
Early in November, a photo emerged showing Young Thug with Future, Travis Scott, and Lil Baby collaborating in the studio. Earlier, he said to the artist mentioned before, “Let’s surprise these rats,” and then fans found out they would be collaborating on WHAM.
Young Thug’s latest album, BUSINESS IS BUSINESS, released in 2023, consisted of 15 tracks during his time in prison. It included guaranteed hits such as “Oh U Went,” “Want Me Dead,” and “Abracadabra,” with guest appearances from popular artists like Lil Uzi Vert, Drake, Travis Scott, 21 Savage, and Future.
