GloRilla and Megan Thee Stallion were revealed as the guest hosts of Instagram’s next “Close Friends Only” episode on Tuesday, August 13. The episode, which is scheduled to run on Thursday, August 15, will include the two talking about a variety of subjects, including aliens, Instagram explore pages, and their friendship.
The Grammy Award winner revealed that she and GloRilla weren’t yet close friends in a clip that was posted on social media. She said, “I’m going to add you [to mine],” to which the resident of Memphis replied, “Do that, and I’m gonna add you to mine.”
“Cause, bch, why [am I] not in your Close Friends?” Megan playfully said. Her “Accent” partner retorted, “‘Because, bch, I’m not in yours.”
Oh my, that is so absurd. I gave you all day to watch me act like crazy, but how am I supposed to know what you write on your Close Friends? That’s absurd,” the man behind Good News exclaimed. Watch the entire video below.
In a different section of the conversation, Megan tested the bond between GloRilla and her by asking, “So, what was your initial impression of me?” In response, the rapper from Collective Music Group said, “I mean, like, you come off as standoffish.”
“You’re not telling the truth,” I said. Megan let out a cry. “My explore page is full of sharks,” she disclosed in another segment of the program. I’m not going in the water [anymore]. The aliens are located here. They believe that aliens are present. They [the motherf**kers] have failed.
GloRilla, meanwhile, revealed that she was “literally obsessed” with Beyoncé. “Let me share with you something: Beyoncé is one of my closest friends.” After that, Megan laughed and called her “delulu.”
Megan and GloRilla collaborated on the song “Wanna Be” from the latter artist’s Ehhthang Ehhthang in April. They have since played the song at various “Hot Girl Summer Tour” locations and the 2024 BET Awards.
