Fans of Ty Dolla Sign and Ye finally got an update on their second collaborative album, VULTURES 2, after many months of waiting. The project was revealed on Wednesday, July 31 and is expected to be released on Friday, August 2.
According to the Yeezy website, “All orders fulfilled.” VULTURES 2 is scheduled for release on August 2, which probably means that the earlier merchandise—which is no longer available—was sold out. The homepage, which was primarily blank, also had a countdown in the upper left corner.
There aren’t many specifics about the upcoming record yet. On August 23 and August 25, respectively, Ye and Ty Dolla Sign are scheduled to give listening sessions in Korea and Taiwan. Check out the fliers that are below.
VULTURES 2 was originally scheduled to launch on streaming services on March 8, as Rap-Up previously reported. But Ye had claimed to be “in the lab” with Ty Dolla Sign on that particular date, according to a fan report. The rapper from Chicago later confirmed the release date on Justin Laboy’s podcast “The Download” in April, and it was set for May 3.
Ty Dolla Sign revealed that the future body of work will be available as an app during his Billboard cover story. “Why not? Change it up. There’s always something secret about [Ye]. He remarked, “I always have something up my sleeve.” “Every song is ours. Essentially, the question is simply, “How can we get it there? How can we surpass the success of the first album?
Later in the talk, he stated, “It’s likely that some people will expect you to just make the same sound.” “But that noise has already stopped.”
Hits including “CARNIVAL,” “TALKING,” and “BACK TO ME” were produced by VULTURES 1. Along with many other well-known performers, it included North West, Chris Brown, Lil Durk, Freddie Gibbs, and others.
