DJ Premier’s newest song, “Ya Don’t Stop,” has an all-star lineup that includes Big Sean, Rick Ross, and Lil Wayne.

The three rap titans alternately spit over the boom bap-flavored production on this tune, which has an old school cypher vibe thanks to the iconic producer behind the boards.

Rozay takes the stage first, delivering some of his signature high-class rhymes: “You just a preemie with the chips, boy, how you braggin’ on the watch? / Lamborghini on the wrist, very rare that I miss / Cars by the sets, every pair that I pick.”

“They don’t know nothing about sacrifice / N-ggas want the perks without doing all the work / They don’t see all of the hard work, they just all the results,” is one of Sean Don’s more thought-provoking lines on the hook.

Wayne delivers a frantic torrent of incendiary bars as he closes out the heavyweight posse cut. “I’m a sniper with this rifle, I’m spittin’ like it’s a cypher / You decipher: is this Mike, is this Beckford, or is this Tyson? / Before the infection, I had ice on top of ice on my neck, feeling like spiders while holding a rifle and wearing a Spider-Man mask.

In an Instagram video, Preemo discussed how the song came together, adding, “[Rick Ross] was like, ‘Send me the joint, lemme hear it.'” He returned it that same evening. Whoa. I made contact with Lil Wayne. “I have two songs,” I declared. “Yo, I’ll take ’em both,” he adds that same night. Use ’em whatever you choose. Deal closed.

“Big Sean calls me and tells me that he needs a scratch hook. What can I do to repay you? “Do a hook for me on this,” I say. I’m like, he sends it back. “That concludes it.” You just know when something is cooked as a producer or DJ, and we are now serving it.

“I’ve been on a run, and releasing singles more consistently,” he continued in a press release. I wanted to first get Wayne and Ross on the same page because I had an idea.

The first-ever collaboration between Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, and Big Sean, “Ya Don’t Stop,” was released at a time when DJ Premier is experiencing one of his most productive runs in his illustrious career.

He recently collaborated with 2 Chainz and Eminem on the bonus track “Kyrie & Luka” from the Death of Slim Shady, and he is getting ready to release a much-anticipated joint album with Nas later this year.
