It appears that Wiz Khalifa’s penchant for smoking has gotten him into problems at a recent festival engagement in Romania.
The rapper was accused of illicit narcotics possession on Sunday, July 14, according to a Barron’s article. This occurred after the rapper performed at the “Beach, Please!” Festival in Costinesti, a beach resort on the Romanian coast. Romanian anti-organized crime prosecutors (DIICOT) released a statement that states, “During a performance at a music festival held in the resort of Costinesti, the accused was found to have possessed more than 18 grams of cannabis and to have consumed (on stage) another quantity in the form of a handmade cigarette.”
The rapper known as “Black and Yellow” was not taken into custody even though he was observed being led out of the building. Following the incident, Khalifa and a few other individuals were apparently questioned; nonetheless, he seems to be in high spirits following his arrest.”
The concert last night was fantastic. My intention in lighting up the stage was not to offend Romania. They allowed me to leave with much respect. I’ll be back shortly. But next time, don’t forget to bring along a huge ass joint,” the rapper tweeted.
On social media, fans weren’t slow to point out the obvious. Thailand, Dubai, and Romania all seem like great destinations for cheap holidays and medical care. The only problem is that they have some ridiculous WEED laws. Who will make the arrests for WEED? Insignificant marijuana-related charges have occurred since Paul McCartney’s heyday. One commenter responded to the news by saying, “I’m glad most Americans woke up and realized this PLANT is not dangerous.”
“You’ve become so much more hip when people don’t smoke pot. Another person wrote, “It seems like you didn’t even want to talk to people if they don’t smoke week.” To be honest, that was a really responsible reaction. Funny, I thought you would back down, say “fuck them,” or claim that nobody would stop you from smoking, or something along those lines. However, it’s kind of wonderful that you’re returning and agreed to perform without smoking,” said another person.
The rapper is the most recent casualty of regional cannabis laws and customs that don’t translate well. Snoop Dogg and Nicki Minaj experienced comparable problems while lately visiting other countries.
