Although Lil Uzi Vert had previously announced they would be retiring from music following their last project, they have now stated a new project is in the works.

When asked what they were working on in a recent interview with social media star Ben Weiss, Uzi disclosed that Eternal Atake 2 would be their next album. But this stands in stark contrast to what they said to fans back in October.

The rapper from Philadelphia declared that their upcoming album Luv Is Rage 3 will be their “last” on night two of their Pink Tape Tour in Chicago.

The 28-year-old stated that they will promote the project with one more tour, but after it is over, they plan to retire from music in order to have a “normal life.”

When Uzi announced to the fans at the moment that “Luv Is Rage 3 will be my last album,” they responded with audible disappointment. “No, unwind. It’s alright, folks. I suppose I’ll embark on another tour in support of Luv Is Rage 3 after that. However, I would like to try leading a normal life after that.

A sample from Luv Is Rage 3 was also made available by Lil Uzi Vert in December, though it’s now probable that the clip is from Eternal Atake 2.

They interpolated Drake’s “7969 Santa,” which Teezo Touchdown sang on For All The Dogs, during an Instagram Live.

“Dogs will be dogs/ Don’t we made wrong/ Find my way home/ Dogs will be dogs,” Uzi croons over the piano-driven production.

“Pick my back when I’m feeling What is my goal? Woe is short for “best friend, thunder-lightning. I’m scared, but I’ll protect you.”

On Instagram Live, Uzi gave a sneak peek of a different song in which they used a more hazy, syrupy flow.

The lyrics are, “I tell myself that I can change/But our love is not the same.”

Although neither project’s release date has been disclosed, it appears likely that they will both happen soon.
