A visual effort is being made for Megan Thee Stallion’s English-Japanese crossover “Mamushi,” starring Yuki Chiba. The Houston native revealed on Thursday, July 25, that the song’s filming had completed.
Japan is a country I adore. I want to stay here forever. She said, “[The] ‘Mamushi’ video shoot finished,” as the post’s caption on Instagram. A peek of her temporary back tattoo, which featured flowers, clouds, and what seemed like a dragon, was included in the accompanying photo carousel. The performer was wearing a matching Access Axis skirt and an eyelet halter top with spikes.
Megan’s article received support from Slim Thug, Tokyo Stylez, and Journee, a budding R&B act, in the comments area. One fan commented elsewhere, saying, “Oh my God, Megan looks so good in Japan.” One more comment that received more than 6,000 likes said, “Wait, a back tattoo eats on you.”
Since MEGAN’s release in June, “Mamushi” has been on the Billboard Hot 100 for three weeks. The song’s viral TikTok dance helped it reach its high on the chart at number 45. In the song “In the U.S. or Japan, if he meet me, he gon’ bow/ I got yen for your friends, if they pretty, bring ’em out/ Goin’ dumb in Madam Woo, pourin’ sake in they mouth/ Told him put me on his plate, bring them chopsticks to the south,” the NAACP Image Awards winner also made a few references to the South Asian nation.
During Megan’s “Hot Girl Summer Tour,” she made her live record debut in London with Chiba. On July 17, she finished the trek’s leg through the United Kingdom and Europe, and she will make two festival performances to wrap it up.
On Saturday, July 27, the “Savage” hitmaker will be the main attraction at Broccoli City Festival. She will then be performing as a headline act at Lollapalooza on August 1.
