Potential purchasers of Dame Dash’s stock in Roc-A-Fella Records may receive a unique offer from him, but only at a specific cost.
On Monday, August 19, Dame posted on Instagram that he would give the winning bidder a Roc-A-Fella chain if the auction for his one-third stake in the company exceeded $10 million.
“Roc-A-Fella Inc., whose sole asset is Reasonable Doubt, is for sale,” he wrote. Many people have made intriguing offers; nevertheless, please only contact those who are sincere. The winner of the original Roc-A-Fella chain will get one if it sells for more than $10 million.
“As we all know, one-third of Roc-A-Fella Inc. which owns Reasonable Doubt is for sale and I’ve gotten a lot of calls, a lot of offers,” Dash continued in the following video. I am grateful for the healthy offers that I have received.
It goes without saying that someone who is attempting to disparage or despise the price is doing so in order to get a better deal. “You know, like a first right of refusal,” he said, ostensibly alluding to JAY-Z, his former business associate.
Thus, you will need to bring some bread if you wish to purchase a third of Roc-A-Fella Inc. In addition, I’ll sweeten the deal if it exceeds $10 million by giving you an original Roc-A-Fella necklace that will be taken from my neck.
On August 29, Dame Dash’s business shares will be put up for auction. The money raised will be used to pay off a roughly $1 million debt that Dash owes film producer Josh Weber, who was sued by Dash for defamation and copyright infringement.
The judge overseeing the legal issue is forcing Dash to sell his shares, despite the fact that co-founders of Roc-A-Fella, JAY-Z and Kareem “Biggs” Burke, had already protested to the public auction, arguing that it violated the company’s bylaws.
In addition, Hov has sued to regain ownership of his 1996 album Reasonable Doubt in 2031, regardless of who buys the shares.
Dash wrote on social media, seemingly refuting this, saying, “They can say what they want, this shit is still for sale.” You are purchasing a portion of ROC A FELLA INC. rather than a copyright.
To pay off Dame’s debt and then some, a minimum price of $1.2 million must be made for his Roc-A-Fella shares.
It’s unclear what would happen if Jay and Biggs place a bid for the remaining third of the venerable record label or if the shares don’t sell at auction.
