Beloved tracks such as “On My Mama” and “Cadillac (A Pimp’s Anthem)” got a festive refresh.

Victoria Monét is celebrating the holiday season with festive renditions of her popular songs. On Wednesday (Dec. 11), the artist premiered her highly anticipated A Jaguar II Christmas: The Orchestral Arrangements.

Throughout the eight tracks, A Jaguar II Christmas begins with “It’s a Celebration Every Time It Snows” and then moves into “Cadillac Christmas,” a modern rendition of Monét’s cherished “Cadillac (A Pimp’s Anthem).” Audiences enjoyed cheerful performances of “On My Mama,” “How Does It Make You Feel,” and “I’m The One,” all accompanied by strings, harps, and various other orchestral arrangements.

Before the LP’s release, Monét posted a trailer where she lists her desires. “Dear Santa … On second thought, forget that.” Dear Mrs. Claus, because we don’t require any man. Regardless, this year, I’ve been quite a good girl,” she started as images summarized her rapid rise in 2024. Fans reminisced about the “Alright” artist’s most memorable moments, such as her major wins at the 66th Grammy Awards, an encounter with Janet Jackson, and her performance at ESSENCE Fest.

“All I truly desire for Christmas is a jaguar and, no, not the wild feline, though that would be quite awesome as well,” she went on. What I desire this year is a Jaguar II Christmas filled with strings, harps, horns, and orchestral compositions. Something family-friendly that I can enjoy with everyone while we adorn the tree and bake cookies.

“Isn’t she lovely?” Monét stated, attired as Mrs. Claus. The artist later humorously remarked that she’s been “somewhat mischievous” — tracks such as “SOS (Sex on Sight)” with Usher and “D**kAtNight” showcased her embracing her sexuality this year, much to the joy of numerous fans.

The festive album is expected to mark the conclusion of Monét’s JAGUAR II period. The 2023 project launched at No. 60 on the Billboard 200 chart when it was released. After her tour and securing various nominations and awards, she released a deluxe edition in October of the next year.
