Diddy, who is still facing numerous accusations of sexual assault, has apparently abandoned his $60 million lawsuit against Sean John, the owner of his former clothing business.

Using both his first and middle names, Sean Combs launched the company in 1998. In 2016, he sold Global Brands Group a 90% ownership.

The CEO of Bad Boy filed many lawsuits against the company in 2021, alleging that they had used his likeness and image improperly to promote Sean John apparel without getting his permission.

Additionally, Diddy claimed that Missguided, a clothing business, had sought to utilize his image without authorization in a marketing campaign. He also attempted to secure the trademark “vote or die,” which he alleges Global Brands Group attempted to use.

After Global Brands Group filed for bankruptcy, the Harlem-born tycoon regained control of the business by buying it for a mere $7.5 million, all the while carrying on with his legal battle.

AllHipHop reports that he has now willingly withdrawn all allegations and counterclaims related to the lawsuit.

The information was released following Diddy’s honorary key to New York being revoked by Mayor Eric Adams of the city following the release of leaked video showing him abusing his former girlfriend Cassie.

The mayor’s office served Diddy letters stating that they were “deeply disturbed” by the CCTV footage showing him abusing the singer in a hotel in 2016.

In the letter, Adams also stated that he supports victims of domestic abuse and explained how the key is used to honor exceptional individuals.

The Mayor pointed out that the Bad Boy billionaire was no longer eligible. Diddy could return the keys to the address given by the New York City Chief. This action was the first time that a major component of the Big Apple was removed.

According to reports, Diddy got the letter on June 4 and gave it back on June 10.

In a TV interview, Adams had earlier said he was investigating the possibility of rescinding a city key.

“I believe that watching that terrifying video of the young lady being attacked by him deeply disturbed all of us,” he remarked. “We’ve never revoked a key before, committee and team, but we’re sitting down to see what the next steps forward are going to be.

“Adams said, “We are taking everything under analysis and the team will come back [to] me with a final determination,” in response to a follow-up, more direct question about whether he was thinking about withdrawing the honor.
