Tyler, The Creator revealed on Thursday, June 20, that he would not be performing as the main act at Outside Lands Festival and Lollapalooza in 2024. The rapper expressed his regret for the choice while sharing the sad news on Twitter.

Tyler wrote, “I hate to say this, but I have to cancel Outside Lands and Lollapalooza.” “I regret not being able to fulfill a promise I made, as I know how thrilled people were.” That’s not at all sexy. When you see me in person, please, please don’t call me names or forgive me. Love.

After the musician “EARFQUAKE” made a statement, the event organizers promptly announced substitutes. The roster for Lollapalooza, which takes place in Chicago’s Grant Park from August 1–4, now includes Megan Thee Stallion. Sabrina Carpenter will now be featured in Outside Lands, which takes place in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park from August 9 to 11.

Tyler did not provide an explanation for the cancellations. On the other hand, in April, he headlined Coachella. The performer invited special guests to help with performances of “RUNNING OUT OF TIME” and “SEE YOU AGAIN,” including Childish Gambino and Kali Uchis. Charlie Wilson and ASAP Rocky were also there.

On October 13, the creator of Golf Wang will be present at Austin City Limits Music Festival for fans. There are also more artists on the lineup, including Vince Staples, Jeezy, That Mexican OT, Kehlani, and FLO.

CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST from 2021 was Tyler’s final endeavor. The songs included “WUSYANAME,” which featured YoungBoy Never Broke Again and Ty Dolla Sign, “LUMBERJACK,” and “SWEET / I THOUGHT YOU WANTED TO DANCE,” which included Brent Faiyaz.

Despite not being as active musically in 2024, Tyler unveiled a capsule collection in March in collaboration with Louis Vuitton. “I’m rather pleased with the outcome. In addition, I got to work with my buddies and the same production team that I’ve worked with on everything since the ‘Yonkers’ video,” he added.
