The resignation of Mr. Mamman Ahmadu, the Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of the Bureau of Public Procurement, has been ordered by President Bola Tinubu.
This was announced in a statement on Saturday by Ajuri Ngelale, the President’s Special Advisor on Media and Publicity.
Ahmadu’s resignation, according to Ngelale, is a part of a bigger attempt to reorganize the public procurement system and reposition the agency for increased transparency and efficiency.
He continued by saying that, while a new Director-General was being appointed, Tinubu gave Ahmadu instructions to turn over to the highest ranking official in the Bureau.
“The President thanks Mr. Ahmadu for his services and wishes him success in his future endeavors,” the statement continued.
