President Tinubu looks forward to enhancing relationships between Nigeria and the United States in the face of the complex opportunities and challenges of the modern world, according to a statement released on Wednesday by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President (Information & Strategy).
On the verge of defeating Kamala Harris in a spectacular White House return, Donald Trump declared victory Wednesday and promised to “heal” the nation.
“Together, we can address global challenges that affect our citizens, promote peace, and foster economic cooperation,” adds President Tinubu.
President Tinubu claims that Trump’s win is a testament to the faith and confidence that the American people have in his ability to lead. He commends them for their dedication to democracy.
President Tinubu is confident that President Trump’s return to the White House as the 47th president will usher in an era of sincere, mutually beneficial, and reciprocal economic and development partnerships between Africa and the United States, especially considering his experience as the 45th president from 2017 to 2021.
The Nigerian leader believes that President Trump will move the globe closer to peace and prosperity while acknowledging the role that the United States plays in shaping the direction and trajectory of world events.
