According to President Bola Tinubu, the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) is genuinely improving the Niger Delta area.

Speaking at the opening of a 600-meter-long bridge in Ibeno, Akwa Ibom, Mr. Tinubu made the remarks.

Speaking through Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Mr. Tinubu stated that the commission had impacted Niger Delta residents’ lives in a variety of ways.

He said that by connecting 20 settlements, the bridge would improve socioeconomic linkages amongst the people living in the impacted areas.

According to Mr. Tinubu, the bridge would foster social connection, education, and economic activity.

In just their first year in office, the present NDDC management has “positively touched the lives of the people of Niger Delta,” he declared.

NDDC finished the bridge, which is a part of the Iko-Atabrikang-Akata-Opolom-Okoroutip-Iwouchang Road.

By building the Okitipupa electrical substation, which connected five local government districts in Ondo to the national grid, the commission, according to the president, did a good job.

64 localities will be served by this substation. I can attest that you have given the populace hope. The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has been dedicated to the welfare of the local population since 2000.

“You have opened up civilization to the people of Ibeno today; it is now easy to access these communities,” he remarked.

The president pushed the NDDC to develop initiatives that would enable the inhabitants of the Niger Delta to actively engage in agriculture in order to produce a large amount of food.

“The environment in the area is conducive to agriculture. We must take advantage of this chance,” he remarked.

Niger Delta Development Minister Abubakar Momoh characterized the 600-meter bridge as the result of clever design and diligent labor.

It demonstrates that the ministry and commission are aware of the difficulties faced by the populace. The towns connected by this bridge were once divided, but now they are able to relate to one another on a social and economic level,” he stated.

Governor Umo Eno gave the commission praise for carrying out the project.

Akon Ayakenyi, Eno praised the NDDC for its efforts to improve the living conditions of Niger Delta residents.

The president was commended earlier by NDDC Managing Director Sam Ogbuku for his backing of the commission.
