Skilla Baby is prepared to take legal action to stop the harassment because he believes that the Detroit police department, where he was raised, has it in for him.

After making his most recent homecoming appearance, the 25-year-old took to Instagram on Sunday, July 7, to air his complaints. Skilla described his several interactions with city officials—including one particular Detroit Police Department officer, whom he addressed as Lieutenant Rue—in a lengthy video clip.

He begins, “I don’t like doing this type of shit, so I am not an activist or anything.” However, fire marshals or Detroit police always show up to shut me down when I perform at home. They constantly come shut me down, even though I already kind of don’t even know what I’m doing.

“I have an officer who is always making fun of me.” Lieutenant Rue is his name. I believe that he goes by Lieutenant Dan Rue, or something like that. He always tries to leave every gathering I go to.

The rapper, real name Trevon Gardner, detailed other instances where Rue reportedly ruined his plans, such the time he called Skilla a “murderer” and a “gang member” to keep him from going to events at Ford Field.

“I simply pour into my city,” a frustrated Skilla Baby remarked. “I successfully removed people’s records. They don’t respect me because I give away properties. I’m just 25 years old. It’s a little absurd. Lieutenant Rue, you crazy, my boy. All I want to do is make Lieutenant Rue aware of this. Lieutenant Rue. You’re a wild guy. Additionally, I won’t lie.

“There’s nothing I can do to beat you,” he continued. You’re a cop, can you sense me? Nothing I can do will help. I’m not sure about you. I won’t divulge anything about you. I’m thinking of suing the city as my next course of action. So, buddy, I’m going to sue the DPD for continuing to invite him to my gatherings. I won’t tell lies. The city will be sued by me.

Even though Skilla Baby enjoys representing his hometown, some internet discussion was spurred by remarks he made lately regarding another legendary Detroiter.

While talking about who the greatest rapper from the Motor City is, Skilla asserted during an appearance on the Baby, This is Keke Palmer podcast that people in his hometown do not view Eminem as the greatest rapper of all time.

“Eminem is the best rapper in Detroit by a wide margin, but no one in Detroit would ever say that,” he remarked.

The rapper known as “Bae” continued, saying, “Everyone took a turn being the favorite rapper in Detroit. There were turns for Sada Baby, Tee Grizzley, Babyface Ray, Veeze, one of Detroit’s top rappers, and Baby Smoove. It was everyone’s turn to be the greatest in the city. We are deficient in consistency. No one has ever been the go-to rapper in Detroit.

Returning to Slim Shady, he remarked, “Eminem leads in numbers, but no one in Detroit is playing Eminem at the moment, and I was an Eminem fan growing up. Although I love Eminem, is he really our best rapper? Detroit, in my opinion, does not.

Later, Skilla Baby provided an update on Instagram, elaborating on his remarks, saying, “Of course, I can’t forget Kash Doll, Big Sean, and Dej [Loaf]; Detroit is full of great rappers.”

The 25-year-old omitted some well-known Detroit celebrities from his list, including Icewear Vezzo, Danny Brown, Boldy James, 42 Dugg, Royce Da 5’9′′, and BabyTron.
