The release date for Quavo’s long-teased duet with Lana Del Rey has been formally revealed.

Using a Polaroid of Lana putting on his chain for him, the former Migos rapper announced on Instagram that “Tough” will arrive on Wednesday, July 3. His comment simply said, “Tough 4th of July.”

The unusual duo appeared to be connected by the upcoming song when they were seen together at a Grammys celebration earlier this year.

The two posted a portion of the song, which was still untitled, to Instagram in May along with a picture of themselves sitting on a front porch and the words, “If u come from where u come then u were born…tough!”

Working with rappers is nothing new for Lana Del Rey. She enlisted The Weeknd in 2017 for the song “Lust for Life,” which was included on her self-titled album. She collaborated with Playboi Carti and A$AP Rocky on the song “Summer Bummer” off that same album.

Additionally, she co-wrote two songs with The Weeknd: “Prisoner” from his 2015 LP Beauty Behind the Madness and “Stargirl Interlude” from his 2016 album Starboy.

Regarding her Grammy excursion with Quavo, the rapper and singer of “Bad and Boujee” were spotted cuddling in the back of the vehicle as they arrived at a gathering at The Fleur Room in West Hollywood, California.

The couple appeared to enjoy each other’s company even though they weren’t seen holding hands; they both had bright smiles on their faces. Quavo led the way after exiting their vehicle, with Lana trailing closely behind.

Since that time, Quavo and Chris Brown have been at odds over the latter’s rumored relationship of Karrueche Tran.

Following several back-and-forth song exchanges, Karrueche herself offered her opinion, stating that she would prefer to avoid becoming involved in their issue.

“I am not feeling. That’s just the way things are. She responded, “I’m living my life,” when asked what she thought of the diss recordings. “The only things that important are working, paying my expenses, and taking time for myself. I have nothing to do with anything else that is going on. My life is serene right now. I only want that.

“I just want peace and happiness, I don’t want any parts,” she continued. I’d like to work and thrive.
