The Game is helping those impacted by the destructive fires in his hometown of Los Angeles.

While numerous large fires persisted in devastating areas of the city, the Compton rapper declared on Wednesday (January 8) that he is assisting in offering safety and shelter to families compelled to leave their houses.

“Travis Wilson and I are assisting 10 families impacted by the fires here in securing @airbnb for a week at no cost [praying hands emoji],” he posted on his Instagram Stories.

He then instructed those interested to contact Wilson on Instagram, stating: “Must possess an ID or driver’s license with an address in the impacted regions.”

Several intense wildfires ignited throughout the greater Los Angeles region on Tuesday (January 7), driven by strong winds and arid weather.

At least five individuals have lost their lives, and more than 100,000 people have been forced to evacuate, as emergency responders find it difficult to manage the fires due to limited resources and dwindling water supplies.

More than 2,000 buildings have been destroyed across over 27,000 acres of land, marking it as the most devastating fires in Los Angeles history. The overall damage cost is projected to exceed $50 billion.

As of Thursday morning (January 9), five significant fires are still uncontained, with the most recent igniting on Wednesday evening in the Hollywood Hills.

Fellow Californian Snoop Dogg also responded to the tragedy online, posting a graphic on Instagram that read: “Pray for Los Angeles.” “Lord, save the City of Angels.”

Missy Elliott shared on her Instagram Stories: “I’m sending my prayers to everyone in LA. Witnessing the videos and images is heartbreaking, so you can only speculate about what those individuals are experiencing. “Numerous prayers during this challenging period.”

In an unusual post on X, Meek Mill expressed: “Thoughts and prayers to la.” I was unaware of fire trauma until my home burned down…. For three years, I would wake up smelling smoke in my dreams… I was unaware that kind of trauma was real, so as a child, I simply coped with it!
