The Come Up, J. Cole’s debut mixtape, is now available on streaming sites.
The first episode of Cole’s new radio series Inevitable, which centers on The Come Up, premieres concurrently with the 2007 project’s commercial release.
Along with a photo of the mixtape’s cover art, the Dreamville rapper announced the news on Instagram on Monday, November 18, writing: “The beginning.” The Come Up is now at last accessible on DSPs.
In his own post, Ibrahim “Ib” Hamad, Cole’s longtime manager, added: “17 years later. It’s better late than never. Using @realcoleworld, my brother Now available on all DSP is the Come Up. This stuff was the catalyst for everything. I’m going to cry a little, but I’ll be back.

The 17 tracks on The Come Up include well-known songs including “School Daze,” “Simba,” and “Dollar and a Dream.”
The mixtape was noteworthy for incorporating popular rhythms from artists such as Kanye West, JAY-Z, and Nas.
As next episodes of Inevitable concentrate on The Warm Up and Friday Night Lights, fans are predicting that Cole may also release those two projects on streaming services in the upcoming weeks.
The first season of the 10-part audio series covers Cole’s career up to 2014 Forest Hills Drive, project by project. Alongside Ibrahim Hamad and regular partner Scott Lazer, the rapper co-hosts the program.
“If you rocked with me at any point so far on my journey, I hope this will give you even more perspective and fill in a lot of blanks,” J. Cole wrote on social media when he announced the event.
“I hope that this will uplift your spirits, giving you the courage to believe in your dreams and the motivation to persevere through difficult times, if you have any personal goals you’d like to accomplish in life. to pursue your goals despite your fears.
“Jermaine Cole takes listeners on an unfiltered journey through his life, career, and personal evolution in this raw and reflective limited audio series, using both released and unreleased music to guide the story,” the summary says.
“Cole narrates his journey from his early days as a young, aspiring rapper to finally seeing his dreams become a reality, despite the many hurdles and pitfalls he faces along the way, through conversations with Scott Lazer and Ibrahim Hamad in Season 1.”
