The Alchemist has answered fans’ calls for him to create an “introspective jazz album” with Young Thug, as the Atlanta rapper is now released from jail.
This weekend, a supporter on X (previously Twitter) messaged the renowned producer during a Q&A session with his fans: “An introspective jazz album featuring Young Thug is necessary.”
Shortly after, The Alchemist replied and agreed with the plan, messaging: “Someone give me his number, I got you.”
The inquiry has become a repeated meme on social media since Thugger accepted a plea deal in his YSL RICO case that led to his freedom from jail.
It originates from a viral post in November stating: “when Young Thug dives into his introspective vibe, shifts to jazz, and collaborates with The Alchemist” beside a clip of Vince Carter becoming emotional during his Toronto Raptors jersey retirement event.
Since then, fans have embraced the concept, producing imaginative mash-ups and even fake cover art that evokes Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak’s Silk Sonic album.
While The Alchemist continues to be highly productive in 2024, Young Thug has remained silent regarding music since his release from prison in late October.
Recently, Akademiks speculated that the YSL rapper went into the studio with Future, Travis Scott, and Lil Baby shortly after his release.
The media figure stated during his livestream: “Don’t inquire about how I obtained the image, but Young Thug has collaborated in the studio with all these people.” I assume they are still developing whatever is set to be released for Baby.
He then quipped: “I believe this was the Avengers of n-ggas coming together. This was the ‘Screw Gunna‘ Avengers.”
Since his return home, Young Thug has been collaborating with both Metro Boomin and T.I.
In an update to his Instagram Story, Metro displayed a glimpse of his computer screen that showed a studio session for a track named “Jeff Home,” alluding to Thug’s actual name, Jeffery.
A few days prior, Thugger met up with his former mentor T.I., and it seemed they were collaborating on a project.
“Yeah, dude.” “What do you need to say to these folks?” the Grand Hustle leader questions Thug in a video they posted online, to which Thug responds: “Back, Jack […] No lies in my rhymes. “The correct approach.”
Young Thug has not put out any new music since being released from jail after over two years of incarceration following his arrest on RICO charges in May 2022.
He did, nonetheless, release the album Business Is Business from prison last summer.
