Following months of teasers, Grammy-winning Nigerian musician Wizkid has finally released his eagerly awaited fifth studio album, “Morayo.”
Early Friday morning saw the publication of the body of work on all streaming services.
Wizkid’s late mother, Jane Dolapo Balogun, who died in August 2023, is honored in “Morayo.”
The album include the following songs: “A Million Blessings,” “Time,” “Piece of My Heart,” “Break Me Down,” “Bend,” “Karamo,” “Kese (Dance),” “Troubled Mind,” and “Time.”
Other songs include “Après Minuit,” “Bad for You,” “Soji,” “Don’t Care,” “Slow,” “Lose,” and “Pray.”
Asake, Brent Faiyaz, Jazmine Sullivan, Anaïs, and Tiakola are among the artists featured in Wizkid’s song “Morayo.”
He released “Piece Of My Heart” in October, and “Kese (Dance)” in November.
Born Ayodeji Balogun, Wizkid rose to fame in 2011 after releasing his first album, “Superstar.”
His other four albums are titled “Ayo” (2014), “Sound From The Other Side” (2017), “Made In Lagos” (2020), and “More Love, Less Ego” (2022).
The singer has also won other accolades, including a Grammy Award in 2021 for his work on the popular song “Brown Skin Girl,” which he co-wrote with Beyoncé.
“Made in Lagos” was named the most streamed Nigerian album on Apple Music in October.
