According to the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), an airstrike on a terrorist kingpin’s home in Palele, Shiroro Local Government Area, Niger State, has killed multiple terrorists as part of the air component of “Operation Fansan Yamma.”

Air Commodore Olusola Akinboyewa, the NAF’s director of public relations and information, made this announcement in an Abuja statement on Monday.According to Mr. Akinboyewa, the air interdiction took place on November 16 and destroyed the home and vital weapons storage of Mallam Saleh, a notorious kingpin and Dogo Gide adherent.He claimed that attacks, kidnappings, and extortion had left a path of fear in Shiroro’s vulnerable neighborhoods during Mr. Saleh’s reign of terror.He claimed that in order to dismantle his operations, the air component had been monitoring his movements and obtaining vital intelligence.

Terrorists on motorcycles were observed in the target area as NAF planes swooped in. By acting quickly and accurately, the NAF assets launched deadly strikes that destroyed the weapons stash and dealt the terrorists a crushing blow.”

A second explosion verified that the munitions had been destroyed, rendering Mr. Saleh incapable of doing anything.””The NAF’s logistics strangulation strategy, which aims to destroy terrorist strongholds and bring peace back to the region, includes this daring operation,” he stated.

Through cooperation with surface forces, continuous patrols, situational awareness, and targeted interdictions, Mr. Akinboyewa promised that the NAF will continue to dominate.

He claims that the terrorists’ operational capabilities have been severely weakened by the mission.
