Pastor Umo Eno, the governor of Akwa Ibom State, has established verification teams to confirm that local government Transition Committee chairmen and members in all 31 council areas of the state are carrying out their assigned projects.

After the terms of office of Chairmen and Councillors expired six months ago, Eno established Transition Committees in each of the state’s council regions to hold elections until the next council meeting.

The office of Prince Enobong Uwah, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), announced the verification team on Tuesday morning. The announcement included a list of all the team leads and their members, along with the local governments that were to be visited.

All of the commissioners are in charge of the verification teams, according to the list that was provided to reporters in Uyo on Tuesday morning. Some members of the House of Assembly are also involved.

The teams’ task is to authenticate and check local government projects, according to a statement from Prince Enobong Uwah, the Office of the Secretary to the State Government.

The following government officials have been appointed as members of the Verification Team to authenticate the projects carried out by the respective Chairmen and Members of the 31 Local Government Transition Committee during their six-month tenure in office, according to a statement partially translated by Pastor Umo Eno, the governor of Akwa Ibom State.
