Taylor Swift understands that all good things must come to an end, including her Eras Tour.

In an emotional speech at the 100th gig of her record-breaking tour on Thursday night, the megastar declared that her current musical journey would finish this year.

“You know, this is actually the 100th show of the tour,” she told her fans at the first of three consecutive shows in Liverpool, England, eliciting joyous cries from Swifties.

“That blew my head. That doesn’t feel like a true statistic to me because this has undoubtedly been the most exhausting, all-encompassing, but also the most pleasant, fulfilling, and amazing event to happen in my life thus far. “These moments with you,” she remarked in a video that circulated on social media.

Swift noted that many in the audience may be wondering how she will commemorate the milestone, saying, “The celebration of the 100th show for me means this is the very first time I’ve ever acknowledged to myself and admitted that this tour is going to end in December.”

“Like, that’s it, and that feels like so far away from now, but then again it feels like we just played our first show on this tour because you have made this so much fun for us that we wanted to do 100 shows, 150-something shows that we have on the whole tour,” she said.

The Eras Tour, which began on March 18, 2023, in Glendale, Arizona, has been extended multiple times since its initial announcement. It has subsequently been through the United States, South America, Asia, and Australia, and is now on its European leg before returning to North America.

It appears that there will be no additions to the current dates mentioned on her website, the latest of which is a gig in Vancouver, Canada, on December 8.

“I think that this tour has really become my entire life,” Swift added, adding “it’s taken over everything.”

“For example, I believe I had hobbies in the past but no longer remember what they were. Because when I’m not on stage, all I do is sit at home and try to come up with clever acoustic song mashups and consider what you would want to hear. “So, when I’m not on stage, I dream about being back on stage with you guys,” she explained.

Swift thanked her fans for all the effort they had put in to attend her event, including making plans “so far in advance,” memorizing lyrics, and arranging transportation.

The Eras Tour has had a massive impact on tourism, resulting in a recent surge in air travel across Europe.

United Airlines stated in May that demand for flights to Milan and Munich, where Swift will perform in July, has increased by up to 45% compared to the previous year.

According to the British Geological Society, seismic activity was measured four miles from the stadium where the singer performed during her recent concerts in Edinburgh, Scotland.

The historic trip has also been accused of driving up inflation, with British bank Barclays predicting that expenditure in the United Kingdom will increase by roughly $1 billion.
