SZA’s Lana, the much-anticipated deluxe version of her hit album SOS, has finally arrived.
Launched on Friday (December 20), two years after the debut of her previously mentioned second album, this project includes 15 fresh tracks and only one guest feature, which is Kendrick Lamar.
On the production side, contributions are made by talents such as Benny Blanco, J. White Did It, Carter Lang, and others.
Lana — named after SZA’s actual name Solána — experienced a minor delay from its planned midnight launch, with the deluxe album not arriving on streaming platforms until later Friday morning.

SZA clarified the delay on Thursday night (December 19), posting on Instagram: “Needed to perfect my mixes lol! Every song is being uploaded and processed into the system right now. Please be patient… we’ve been working for days.
Lana’s music videos have started to be released, featuring Ben Stiller in the visuals for “Drive.”
The footage showcases the Hollywood star lip-syncing to the emotional, anguished ballad on a nighttime cruise, while also leaning out of his car window like Heath Ledger’s Joker in The Dark Knight, spinning donuts and dancing in the street.
It concludes with a whimsical moment showcasing a completely nude SZA sporting the identical prosthetic insect mask she wears on the Lana album cover.
Lana took a considerable time to develop, with SZA initially hinting at an extended version of SOS in February 2023.
The TDE artist mentioned in a Billboard interview back then that the project would include 10 fresh tracks and come out “soon.”
“Once I complete the deluxe, I’m looking forward to accepting that this phase is finished,” she remarked. “I eagerly anticipate genuinely feeling proud of myself, not merely smiling and nodding at praise, but truly experiencing it within and understanding my worth.”
“I suppose I should stop attempting to understand what it signifies and begin acknowledging and experiencing it as it is.”
With SOS and Lana, along with beloved tracks from her 2017 debut Ctrl, SZA has a wealth of material ready for her co-headlining Grand National Tour with Kendrick Lamar, set to begin in April.
