SZA doesn’t conduct interviews very often, but when she does, they are usually fun. In her most recent, she and Amelia Dimoldenberg explore love, relationships, and other topics on “Chicken Shop Date.”
“Yeah, I can catch them, but not keep them,” the SOS singer jokes in one of the more candid segments from the program as the host says, “I’m never able to get a second date.” “They are slick, aren’t they?” Deflatingly, Dimoldenberg queries.
According to the singer of “All the Stars,” she’s stranger than most people realize. “It seems like I’m down for everything normal because of the butt. like all fired up and ready to shake ass. However, in actuality, I wish to extract methane gas with my man or swim in the swamp,” she clarified later in the clip.
The singer adds that you shouldn’t rely on her for relationship guidance. The “Kill Bill” lyricist asserts that she gives advice freely when asked if people approach her for advice, but she disregards the counsel her group gives her about her romantic relationships.

Even so, the presence might add validity to rumors that have been circulating recently concerning a new album.
The musician herself announced on Saturday, June 29, when performing at BST Hyde Park, that a follow-up to 2023’s SOS was in the works. She asked the audience, “New album, you ready?” with excitement before releasing a sneak peek of a brand-new song called “Storytime.” The official teaser was soon released by the artist on her social media platforms. SZA sung, “Heck, here’s some for you, yeah. I know you told stories about me. Most of them awful, all of them true.”
The artist’s alien-inspired grasshopper look, created by FX makeup artists Malina Stearns and Sasha Glasser, was showcased to viewers in an accompanying clip. Notably, the latter was involved in creating Doja Cat’s blue demon outfit for “Paint The Town Red.”
