‘Lana,’ the special edition of 2022’s ‘SOS,’ will be released on Friday (Dec. 20).
SZA’s Lana, the deluxe edition of her hit SOS album, will be released shortly. On Monday (Dec. 16), she revealed that the project will arrive on streaming platforms on Friday (Dec. 20) at midnight, accompanied by another preview of “Drive.”
“I continue acting like everyone is as great as I am / Things are so strange I can’t articulate / I climbed so high, I believe I peaked / All my former flames still care for me,” Ben Stiller lip-synced in the attached video. “Hit me up, he wants to chill / All my rivals feeling stressed / How you imitate then contest?” SZA has previously disclosed that she is a big admirer of the actor and comedian’s “Severance,” which will premiere its second season on January 17, 2025, as she mentioned in the caption.
In addition to the teasers SZA has released in recent months, Lana will also host February’s “Saturn.” The album is competing for Best R&B Song and Best R&B Performance at the 67th Grammy Awards.
“I believe I’m creating music from a more beautiful perspective — from a more hopeful space instead of a more anxious one,” SZA told British Vogue about the upcoming body of work. “I’m not relating to my brokenness.” “It’s not my identity… Bit by bit, my music is transforming due to that, the more I lighten up.”
Lana will undoubtedly show up months before SZA and Kendrick Lamar’s “Grand National Tour,” which is scheduled to kick off on April 19, 2025, at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. The collaborators of “Doves in the Wind” are anticipated to arrive in major cities such as Houston, Atlanta, Charlotte, Philadelphia, St. Louis, Toronto, Los Angeles, and Chicago, among others. The journey will conclude on June 18, 2025, in Washington, D.C.
In November, the two musicians came together for “luther” and “gloria” from Lamar’s unexpected sixth studio album, GNX.
