According to reports, Snoop Dogg is earning a substantial salary for covering the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
Venture capitalist Henry L. McNamara of New York, who is now attending the events in Paris, shared on X on Sunday, August 4, what he overheard from an NBC executive.
McNamara recalled, “I was sitting next to an NBC executive at dinner, and he told me that Snoop gets paid $500k a day plus expenses to be here promoting Olympics.” “What a world: from Gin and Juice to a few million to be a celebrity at the Olympics.”
However, the numbers are not verified.
Since the 2024 Olympic Games began in Paris last week, Tha Doggfather, an NBC special Olympics correspondent, has been dabbling in a variety of sports.
For instance, in an Instagram video, the legendary West Coast rapper brandished a sword and dressed in fencing gear, replete with a mask featuring the stars and stripes, as he engaged in a sword combat with Olympic fencer Miles Chamley-Watson of the United States.
The video shows Snoop backing down and deftly blocking the 13-time team Pan American champion’s blows while providing some funny analysis on the lopsided match.
“Now hold on! Excuse me! He yelled, “Back that ass up!”
But Snoop quickly gained self-assurance and launched an offensive, even exchanging his apprehensive cries for harsh rhetoric.
“Go on, sweetie! From where are you? What? He asked in jest, Chamley-Watson.
The professional fencer expressed his admiration for Snoop’s performance on Instagram, writing, “What a day hanging with my new Dawg!! @snoopdogg.” What a legend of delight. Not to add that my man was a natural as we prepared. I believe you’re now prepared for the Olympics. Keep an eye out.
Throughout the Olympics, Snoop Dogg has been a constant presence, mingling with the top athletes from Team USA and entertaining viewers at home.
The Long Beach icon was even assigned to carry his nation’s Olympic torch during the opening ceremony, representing his hometown by performing the Crip Walk.
