Rumors surfaced that Sexyy Red might play at Donald Trump’s Atlanta event on Saturday, August 3, following Megan Thee Stallion’s appearance at Kamala Harris’ Georgia State Convocation Center rally on Tuesday, July 30. The “Pound Town” artist, however, disputes those assertions.
“[They] are acting strangely. Sexyy Red tweeted a remark from Thee Pop Feed regarding the rumors, saying, “[That’s] cap.”
The St. Louis celebrity created quite a sensation at the Roots Picnic in 2024 when she performed wearing a large, inflatable MAGA hat as part of her stage setup. Many admirers believed that the prop, which altered Trump’s well-known slogan to “Make America Sexyy Again,” was an unofficial support of the divisive leader. Subsequently, she tweeted, “Sexyy Red [for] president.” I am running for office on my own, and I am not supporting anyone.
In 2023, Sexyy Red expressed her support for the former president on the podcast “This Past Weekend w/ Theo Von.” “I approve of Trump.” Yes, the neighborhood supports him. I don’t think people were fking with him at first. She clarified, “They believed he was a racist, talking petty st against women.
She went on, “Once he started getting Black people out of jail and giving people that free money,” alluding to the COVID-19 economic impact payments. “Aw, sweetie, we adore Trump. He must return to the office. Because of [the] checks, baby, we need him back. Oh, the stimulus checks, yes. We miss you, Trump.
Beginning in August, Sexyy Red will embark on her “Sexyy Red 4 President Tour” around the country. The “SkeeYee” artist will visit Oakland, Austin, Pittsburgh, Brooklyn, Tampa, Orlando, and Nashville, among other cities, along with recently added co-headliner Kodak Black. Hunxho, Loe Shimmy, and BlakeIANA, who collaborated on “BING BONG (Remix)” are some more supporting acts.
