On Sunday, June 23, Saweetie performed at Vegandale in Chicago’s Pride in the Park. Unfortunately, a brawl apparently broke out, forcing her to end her act early.
Online video of the “ICY GRL” singer telling her DJ to turn off the music has gone viral. “I know y’all aint doing what I think y’all executing,” she continued. Is everyone secure? A short while after, people were observed fleeing the scene.
Saweetie tweeted her worries for those in attendance that evening: “[I] hope everyone got home safe tonight.” The crowd appeared to be insane. On Monday, June 24, though, the performer was accused of being dishonest in her words by someone.
“A festival took place! [Clown] straight. You’re done; don’t drag your ass back to Chicago. The Twitter user stated, “It was babies out there getting trampled on for nothing.” Then, you returned and said, “I’m going to tell you all what my type is.” Right now, we [don’t give a f**k].”I hope everyone got home safely. The crowd did look crazy,”
Saweetie shot back. In addition, I had the option to leave when the fight started, but I chose to stay and wait until 2 [Chainz] finished. I returned to the stage to complete my performance [out of concern]. Since it’s obvious that you don’t like me, why did you continue to attend the festival after my act ended?
On July 13, the Bay Area rapper will make his next festival appearance at Angie’s Summer BBQ. Normani, Maiya The Don, 41, Connie Diamond, and Honey Bxby are among the other performers scheduled for the event.
In terms of music, Saweetie delighted audiences in May with the summertime hit “NANi.” She released songs including “Richtivities,” “IMMORTAL FREESTYLE,” and “Do It For The Bay,” a Super Bowl LVIII collaboration with P-LO, earlier in the year.
