Rihanna debuted the most recent campaign for her FENTY x PUMA Creeper Phatty on Thursday, July 11. The musician and entrepreneur hired photographer Philippa Price to document the “In Session,” a series with a school theme.
A varied ensemble of models representing different high school stereotypes was featured in the pictures. For instance, Golden Globe winner Anjelica Huston played the principle, and Chloe Cherry, star of “Euphoria,” played an emo teenager. In contrast, Rihanna donned a black skirt, an elongated tie, and a plaid bow that was too big.
“The Creeper Phatty’s will be worn by your entire school, and this campaign plays with that idea. We purposely selected these hues and materials for back-to-school,” the spokesperson said in a news release. “The black-on-black corduroy takes me back to my early years; it’s a shoe that fits well with a uniform but has a twist that I’ve always wanted.”
Two new colorways for the Creeper Phatty have been released: triple-black and the traditional red and white corduroy. The sneakers are offered in sizes suitable for every age group and may be bought through PUMA or international stores like Foot Locker, JD Sports, and Zalando.
Rihanna declared, “We took our original Creeper and made it bigger and badder.” “We wanted to recreate the original Creeper, which was adored by many, when we were designing the Creeper Phatty. Its reappearance needed to be more significant because it is a timeless silhouette that has been missed.
After an almost six-year break, the multihyphenate returned to her position as creative director of PUMA in September 2023. During that period, Rihanna welcomed two children, Riot and RZA, with ASAP Rocky and expanded her beauty and intimates empires, Fenty Beauty and Savage X Fenty.
After years of waiting, the “Diamonds” hitmaker finally unveiled Fenty Hair in June. Along with other things, the label included a heat-protectant styler, edge control gel, and repair shampoo and conditioner.
