Friends of the Florida-raised emcee said that Foolio was shot and died last night in Tampa Bay, Florida, while celebrating his 26th birthday. He referred to the event as his “best birthday ever” in a prior Instagram Story post.
According to WFLA, a shooting at a Tampa Holiday Inn early on Sunday morning (June 23) left at least one person dead and three others injured. The incident, according to Tampa police, happened in the Holiday Inn parking lot at the intersection of Fowler Avenue and McKinley Drive.
Three other gunshot victims were transported to nearby hospitals, but one person was pronounced dead at the site, according to Tampa Bay police authorities who further described the situation. According to investigators, at the time of the incident, the victims were at the hotel attempting to check into a room.
Foolio’s girlfriend tweeted, “Y’all took my boyfriend from me,” in response to the press stories. I will not be the only one crying because I detest you all.
One person said, “Fam dropped his location like he didn’t diss 40 dead people,” in a post on Say Cheese TV. They also had relatives there. Another reviewer wrote, “The karma in [that s**t] is crazy,” bringing up his history of criticizing the sick in his earlier tracks. There was one survivor and three fatalities in the Yungeen Ace incident. He persisted in making fun of the fact that 23 children passed away on his birthday. Observe how their roles are reversed.
When Foolio was shot in October, he announced in December 2023 that he had sued a hospital months before, claiming a nurse had given away his whereabouts.
He clarified that his stay at UF Health Jacksonville, where he had surgery, was shortened when a nurse revealed his whereabouts in an interview with the “No Jumper” podcast. He added, “I have a lawsuit with the hospital right now.” “She was let go, and everything else…” I just received a letter regarding that matter from the hospital, referring to it as a lawsuit.
