Prosecutors and Quando Rondo have reached a plea agreement in his federal drug conspiracy case.
When the controversial rapper was first detained in June of last year along with eighteen other men on suspicion of narcotics conspiracy and involvement in gang activities, he was facing a maximum sentence of twenty years in jail.
As of late, Rondo and the prosecution have reached a plea agreement, according to documents filed in the Southern District of Georgia by United States Attorney Jill E. Steinberg.
It is currently unknown what the terms of the plea are, including if Rondo will spend any time behind bars. Additionally, the case’s presiding judge has not yet formally decided on the arrangement.
Rondo and his attorneys have not yet responded to the case’s developments.
Quando was subsequently placed under house arrest and given several strict conditions under his bail, such as attending drug rehab, giving up his passport, allowing his whereabouts to be tracked, staying away from witnesses, victims, or co-defendants, and not changing his phone number.
Rondo’s situation has improved recently after he became sober and celebrated eight months without using drugs.
“I’ve been clean for eight months straight!” he exclaimed on Instagram. “But these three, aside from flash, I know you have faith in me, dear! Big brah wac & Budda shriek, RIP! I was so high this evening, but I’ve come a long way, and that’s the only thing I’m grateful for in life—I now adore being sober!
“I’m surprised that I didn’t overdose; it just means that I’m here for a reason. I used to take so many drugs, like TBLACC and Pluto, to say I was TRIPPING,” the speaker said.
