According to reports, YG and Saweetie got into such a heated disagreement over the weekend that the cops had to step in.
Two days earlier, at their shared Los Angeles home, the argument occurred, according to a report published by TMZ on Monday, August 12. Police reportedly forced to separate the two because of “some cell phone drama” that was the cause of the problem.
But in the end, police found that there had been no physical altercation, so they were let alone once they had both cooled down. As per protocol, a noncriminal report was taken.
It appears like YG and Saweetie started dating in 2023, or at least that’s when they announced their romance to the world, but they haven’t been together much since.
The “FDT” rapper uploaded a gym photo on Kehlani’s Instagram, and in the comments section, he left an okay-hand-genture emoji in response to rumors of a separation earlier this year. He wrote shortly after that Saweetie was the “only block [he was] tryna spin.”
A few months later, in front of an intimate crowd at Rolling Loud Los Angeles, YG brought out the rapper known as “My Type” and openly confessed his affections for her.
Even though they didn’t sing together, the two clarified their romance during a brief onstage exchange.
“Do I look nice?” As the crowd applauded Saweetie, she inquired. YG approached her closely and said, “Hell yeah, you fine as hell.”
The girl from Southern California followed her as she left, saying, “I love you, girl,” to which she replied, “I love you too, baby.”
YG and Kehlani were dating in 2019 before Saweetie, however they broke up soon after they went public.
The Bay Area native talked candidly about her connection with the couple during a June Hot 97 interview after host Nessa praised her for being the “cool” ex.
“Well, why would I care about any male exes, since I’m a lesbian?” The 29-year-old chuckled as she spoke. Additionally, I don’t give a damn about what any of my ex-boyfriends—male or female—are doing. I want everyone to be content. Even if I’m with someone, if we determine that we aren’t happy together, it’s best for us to move on and find happiness with other people. I also adore Saweetie!
She seems so sweet and lovely to me. Together, we sing a song. We spend time together. She is cool. And they are quite logical. Knowing them both, I thought to myself, “You know what? This is absolutely great. I said to him, “I really like this.” You guys look adorable together.
