During Friday, July 5th, at Splash! Festival, the reserved recording artist revealed something unexpected to her audience. “The CD is on its way, I assure you. Thus, it’s only fitting that I come here tonight and offer you a world premiere,” the rapper declared as he was ready to play a song that hadn’t been released.
The prospect of new songs from the inactive rapper brought cheers and screams from the crowd. It has been over four years since the self-proclaimed King Vamp released a full-length album, so a new one would be appreciated. But it appears that some fans are finding it difficult to believe what Carti says.
After a video of the performance became viral, one user on the platform that was formerly known as Twitter said, “Serial lier carti says the album is coming.” “Carti’s promises are worthless,” remarked a different admirer. Another said, “I’ll believe it after the fifth listen.”
After putting on incredible performances on Travis Scott’s “FE!N” and Ye & Ty Dolla $ign’s Billboard No. 1 single, “Carnival,” Playboi Carti has been gaining momentum gradually. He has been getting new songs via YouTube, Instagram, and an alter ego page over the past three months.
