The rapper from ‘Whole Lotta Red’ will perform songs from his third studio album on Dec. 15.
After cancelling shows in the Middle East and Thailand for travel reasons, Playboi Carti promised fans that he will still perform in the United States. The ” @ MEH” rapper revealed on Wednesday (Nov. 27) that he would be playing songs from his upcoming album, I AM MUSIC, at Rolling Loud Miami’s 10th anniversary celebration.
Carti is set to perform as the main act on the third day of the festival on Dec. 15 at Hard Rock Stadium, alongside other Opium Records artists Destroy Lonely, Ken Carson, and Homixide Gang performing before him. “I’m looking forward to meeting you all soon, seriously,” he posted on Instagram.
Little information is available about I AM MUSIC except that it features production from Ye and may include “ALL RED.” The album, released on Carti’s 29th birthday, marked his first individual release on streaming platforms since 2020. It was also included with pre-orders for the LP box set, which stated items would be shipped within six months from Sept. 12, 2024.
It remains uncertain if unofficial songs such as “2024,” “BACKR00MS” featuring Travis Scott, or “EVILJ0RDAN” will be included in the final version, especially since Carti released them on social media.
Erin Larsen, Carti’s manager, told Billboard that he is providing his utmost effort and focusing on projects he wants to have a strong influence on, in reference to the LP’s delayed release. In reference to previous leaks, she stated, “It slows down the process.” It’s not desirable to view the Mona Lisa in an art museum while it is still being worked on.
Regarding Rolling Loud Miami, Scott and Future are also headlining the festival. More musicians featured on the lineup are Lil Yachty, Don Toliver, Trippie Redd, JT, Sexyy Red, Yeat, and Young Nudy. Ticket sales to the general public started in August, with single-day pass prices currently available starting at $169.
