A woman who has not yet been recognized died on a tricycle while it was being transported in the Isheri, Idimu area of Lagos State on Friday, causing alarm.
PUNK According to information received by Metro, the deceased got on the tricycle at the Isheri-Igando Road and was riding toward the Isheri end of the neighborhood.
The trike rider was reported to have informed her that she had arrived at her destination when she arrived at her bus stop.
The rider was astonished to learn that she had stopped responding and that she had become lifeless.
Because of the delicate nature of the occurrence, the eyewitness wished to remain anonymous. She informed our correspondent that the rider caught the attention of onlookers, who hurried to the spot and discovered the passenger had stopped breathing.
“I heard the tricycle rider screaming for help when I was getting close to the Isheri bus stop,” he stated. As we got closer, we noticed a woman standing motionless with her head resting in the center of the tricycle’s barricade.
The rider stated that he was expecting her to come out and pay her fare when they arrived at Isheri, the last bus stop for trike riders in the region, but instead he was met with her non-response. At that point, he sounded the alarm. It looked odd, and the space was packed.
An further eyewitness, going by the name Sodiq, stated that while numerous locals attempted to revive her, all of their attempts were unsuccessful.
He continued by saying that when the cops showed there later, everyone had to leave the area right away.
“Everyone did everything they could to see if they could revive her,” he claimed. The police quickly arrived, and everyone nearby was forced to flee the area to avoid being accused.
Sodiq continued, “Some said she might have been ill or that she might have had a heart attack.”
It was learned that the deceased was transferred to an unidentified local hospital, and the tricycle was brought to the Idimu police station.
Benjamin Hundeyin, the Police Public Relations Officer, was unreachable since his phone did not ring. At the time this report was submitted, he had not responded to a text message that was sent to him.
