In light of YSL co-founder Mondo’s recent admission that he did not genuinely rat on Young Thug in the ongoing YSL RICO case, Gunna ought to receive a warm welcome back home.
The rapper and record entrepreneur, actual name Fremondo Crenshaw, took back comments that Gunna had made on Thug in order to get a plea deal and get released from jail earlier this week in a lengthy Instagram Story.
Mondo wrote, “I’m man enough to say I should’ve never spoken about the Gunna situation because, in theory, he didn’t rat.” “All of the originals know he ain’t done nothing and wasn’t even around from the beginning, so he should’ve just stayed down with his mans until everything was over instead of kind of folding under pressure.”
“So he wasn’t going to do no real time regardless I feel bad because now an n-gga who literally is a real live rat running around the city getting glorified & smiling like he ain’t just send multiple n-ggas to jail,” he said, adding that someone else had actually spied on Thugger. In addition to being heartbroken, I was furious that my brother was suffering through this after he turned a lot of n-ggas up.
“That’s the only reason I brought up Gunna, but in real life, I’m an actual n-gga. My past is not a mystery. I don’t mind admitting when I’m mistaken; however, I cannot take back my statement that Gunna is a rat. I simply have to stand by what I said and accept the consequences.
In addition, Mondo gave Gunna props for sticking with YSL during the more than two years that had passed since Young Thug’s arrest, as seen by the release of his past two albums, A Gift & A Curse and One of Wun, on the label.
