The release date of Moneybagg Yo’s upcoming album, SPEAK NOW, is set for June 14. The “Said Sum” hitmaker previewed another song with Lil Durk, one of his regular collaborators, ahead of its release.
Moneybagg posted a screenshot of his chat with the Chicago rapper on Saturday, June 8. When he sent over an MP3 of the song—whose name was kept a secret—Durk responded with snowman emojis and an updated audio file featuring his guest line.
In response, the creator of Bread Gang said, “[You] gave it.” It has ended. Forward [the] session. “[Lil Durk] sent me a verse back in less than 20 [minutes] of me sending it to ’em [the] night before I had to turn my project in, and it’s one of them classic, day one Smurk verses,” he added as a caption to the Instagram picture.
Prior to this, the two musicians collaborated on albums such as “Yesterday,” “Rock Out,” “Hear It Back,” and the EST Gee-assisted “Switches & Dracs.” Their upcoming album is anticipated to be released alongside pre-release singles “TRYNA MAKE SURE” and “PLAY DA FOOL.”
Moneybagg’s 2023 release, Hard To Love, will be followed up with SPEAK NOW. Features on the 20-song album included Future, Fridayy, GloRilla, YTB Fatt, Durk, and Fat Wizza. Favorite songs like “Ocean Spray” and “On Wat U On” were also housed there.
The Memphis rapper told UPROXX, “I’m more vulnerable on this project than I ever been because of what I went through in the last two years.” “I went through a lot and saw a lot. I experienced a lot. Because of what I’m saying and the subject matter, even though this album is very personal to me, I know that everyone will be able to connect with it. I am aware of people all around the world who are experiencing what I did.
