Donald Trump’s voice is featured in an AI remix of 50 Cent’s iconic song “Many Men (Wish Death),” which was released following the former president’s escape from a Pennsylvania assassination attempt.
At a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, July 13, 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks fired a firearm at Trump from a raised platform, striking him in the ear.
It should come as no surprise that the shooting has served as fodder for jokes on the internet. On the song “Get Rich or Die Tryin’,” which recounts the rapper’s near-death experiences—including getting shot nine times in 2000—Trump’s voice has been substituted for 50’s by artificial intelligence.
The remix hears a computer-generated Trump rapping lyrics such as: “Many men wish death upon me/ Blood in my eye, dawg, and I can’t see/ I’m tryin’ to be what I’m destined to be/ And n-ggas tryin’ to take my life away.”
When Trump was wounded, 50 Cent responded by posting a photograph of the Republican nominee holding his fist up in defiance after the bullet struck his ear, with the song “Many Men (Wish Death)” playing over the image.”
I know the vibes [palm on face emoji] we are all in trouble now,” 50 posted as a caption on Instagram.
The leader of G-Unit also posted a picture of Trump’s head overlaying the cover of Get Rich or Die Tryin’, with the caption, “Trump gets shot and now I’m trending [shrugging emoji].”
Then, on Saturday night, he sang the song in Boston while using the altered cover as his backdrop.
Despite claims that the former president is racist, Fif recently stated that he thinks Black men identify more with Trump than Joe Biden.
“I see [Black men] identifying with Trump… because they have RICO charges,” the rapper and actor told CBS News during a visit to Congress, even though he acknowledged he hadn’t decided whether to vote Democrat or Republican.
After denouncing Biden’s tax proposals, 50 also backed Trump in 2020, saying, “WHAT THE FUCK! I’m out (VOTE FOR TRUMP). FUCK NEW YORK Anyhow, the KNICKS are never winners. Trump doesn’t seem to like Black folks, but whatever. You 62% of people are insane.
50 eventually changed his allegiance to Biden before of the 2020 race after coming under heavy fire.
