Lil Wayne has shot down the notion of a Hot Boys reunion album, stating he has no knowledge of the concept.
Since B.G. was freed from prison towards the end of last year, there have been rumors of a reunion of the Hot Boys, with other members reportedly joining in. Weezy, however, claims he is not aware of any new record.
The legendary New Orleans rapper was asked about the much-rumored reunion on NFL player Cam Heywood’s Not Just Football podcast. He was taken aback and responded, “Shit, you just told me!”
Later, he refuted Juvenile’s assertions that the Hot Boys were working on an album: “Is that what he said?” I have not yet visited the kitchen. I haven’t been in that kitchen yet, and I wouldn’t lie to you.”
It hasn’t come through the window yet, so I can’t smell it, but I don’t mind going to that kitchen.” No, I can’t smell the food. They still haven’t informed me anything.
Juvenile earlier stated on Instagram Live that a reunion record was being worked on, saying, “Hot Boys is back together, man.” Turk will be with me tonight, and I will be with B.G. the next week. Wayne, Turk, B.G., and I will be performing live in New Orleans alongside Birdman and Mannie Fresh. Additionally, we have already begun work on the Hot Boys record.
Lil Wayne seems more in favor of a Hot Boys reunion tour than he does of any record plans, despite the fact that he doesn’t seem to be aware of any.
The hitmaker of “A Milli” had earlier said that B.G.’s legal issues following his release from prison were the sole obstacle, as they might limit his mobility while traveling.
We’ve discussed it a few times, but they do have circumstances. Like B.G., who has just returned home and needs to decide if he can tour. Is he able to travel? and similar stuff,” he stated on the 4Hunnid show hosted by YG.
“Juvie and Turk are ready, but we really need to see if Geezy can move around,” he continued.
Wayne answered “yes” when asked if that was the “only piece” of the puzzle still to be solved.
Because everyone has a unique thing. Everyone has their own record label and unique circumstances. No one is shackled to nothing. Everyone said, “Yeah, we can jump on whenever,” when we asked. All we need to do is get Geezy right.
