Lil Tjay has revealed Offset’s purported secrets, claiming the Migos artist is “broke” and dealing with a gambling problem.
During a Twitch stream on Wednesday (January 8), Tjay stated that he encountered Offset at a casino, observing him pleading with individuals for money in a “panic” following a series of losses.
“Why do I disrespect Offset?” Offset has no money. I’ll share a real story with you all: I spotted the guy at the casino. He was startled, he was freaking out. He was inquiring with random individuals about Cash Apps. He had no money.
The Bronx native went on: “I’m not sure what occurred; nobody was picking up his calls. He was attempting to run up, pursuing, pursuing, pursuing. “He likely has a problem with gambling.”
Tjay then asserted that he lent Offset $5,000 and that Cardi B’s separated husband obtained loans from others at the casino.
He mentioned that he provided ‘Set an additional $5,000 but has not seen any of the money returned: “I see about 13 bands in loans. I’m not sure who received their payment that day. This guy has avoided me for such a long time, man. Just so you know, I’m 23, and this is ‘raindrop, drop-top,’ the husband of Cardi B.”
Lil Tjay’s remarks follow the surfacing of purported messages between him and Offset, where he threatened to “smack” the Migos rapper over an unpaid $10,000 loan.
“Wyaaaaaaaa honestly I’m going to hit you hard,” Tjay cautioned ‘Set in a direct message on Instagram.
“[L]ol huh you must be joking, right? Just saw this come up, you must be texting the wrong dude, boy I’ll smoke you,” the “Ric Flair Drip” artist responded angrily.
“You hardly lived, so who do you think you’re speaking to, man?” You must be speaking to the incorrect person. I am currently in New York. “Come hit me, little boy.”
After Tjay informed him that he was in Miami, Offset wrote: “If it’s that, message me for tracing purposes.”
“Nah, never that, little bro; I just want my ten [salute emoji],” Tjay answered, easing the tension, to which Offset replied: “Say that.”
Offset has not yet responded to accusations that he owes Tjay or anyone else money, but he did celebrate the New Year in Dubai indulging in some extravagant shopping, seemingly indicating that he is not short on funds.
The Atlanta local was spotted with alleged girlfriend, model Melanie Jayda, at a Chanel store in the popular Middle Eastern destination.
As reported by TMZ, the rumored pair allegedly shelled out nearly $100,000 at the store, which is 10 times the amount he reportedly owes Lil Tjay.
