The Bronx rapper asserted that when he arrived at PlaqueBoyMax’s Airbnb, it already “reeked of weed,” yet he proposed to cover the damages.
Only a few days after arriving at PlaqueBoyMax’s stream in New York alongside Fivio Foreign, Lil Tjay is now revealing his perspective on the situation. On the evening of Wednesday (Jan. 8), the “Calling My Phone” artist went online to clarify his departure from the broadcast after being asked multiple times to refrain from smoking.
“I enter.” I have some completely different things on my mind. I realize that I showed up with 20 thugs or [however many] you claim. There weren’t too many, but I’m Tjay, gang. I reside in New York. “Do you believe I’m arriving, bro?” Tjay broadcasted through Twitch. “It’s my mistake that I came by and messed up your place.” “It’s not the end of everything, my friend.”
Fortunately, Tjay agreed to cover any damages, mentioning that he and PlaqueBoyMax might be able to “connect another day.” When asked why he continued smoking in the Airbnb then, the Bronx rapper stated it “already smelled like weed” and the Streamer Awards winner “was saying some wild stuff.”
Shortly after, in a subsequent broadcast with DDG, Tjay asserted that he would have slapped “the st out of” PlaqueBoyMax if they weren’t being filmed: “I’m nearly mindblown that ngas care so much.”
Tjay’s reply followed closely after PlaqueBoyMax discussed the incident in a video posted on Tuesday (Jan. 7). He claimed that the rapper was not invited to the Airbnb at all. “To the best of my knowledge — as no one informed me of this — Tjay arrives with a few of his friends,” he explained. “I believe Fivio asked him to come.”
PlaqueBoyMax later confessed that the fire alarm “went off for three hours” after he smoked upon arriving at the Airbnb. He stressed, “If these fire alarms activate, this stream is ended.”
Aside from the entire situation with Tjay, PlaqueBoyMax has been gaining popularity recently. He and DDG’s “Pink Dreads” dominated TikTok in December 2024, and as of now, the related music video has surpassed 1.8 million views on YouTube. During the New York stream, the online figure hinted at upcoming collaborations with Cash Cobain, 41, Bay Swag, and Fivio Foreign, though it remains to be seen if they will reach DSPs.
