Lil Pump has taken aim at Eminem, who had openly supported Kamala Harris, in celebration of Donald Trump’s election triumph.
Shortly after the former Apprentice star regained the White House, the “Gucci Gang” rapper, one of Trump’s most ardent admirers in the hip-hop community, gloated on X (previously Twitter).
Pump attacked his music contemporaries who had backed Harris, pointing specifically at Em and fellow superstar Taylor Swift, while also slapping Trump’s victory in the face of his critics.
“You fucking losers, all of you rappers who were paid to support Kamal [a] Harris, can’t pay me to support Donald Trump.” He stated, “I stand on what’s right,” and then added, “Fuck Eminem and Fuck Taylor Swift.”
Before enthusiastically forecasting “cheaper gas” and “lower taxes” under the businessman’s presidency, the 24-year-old also disclosed that he lost $20 million agreements and “a lot of friends” as a result of his support for Trump.
“I’ve never had a better day in my life,” he said.
Eminem has not yet responded, despite his lack of social media activity.
Late last month, the self-described Rap God made a rare public appearance at Kamala Harris’ event in his hometown of Detroit, revealing his own political affiliations.
“I don’t think anyone wants an America where people are worried about retribution or what people will do if you make your opinion known,” he said in a brief speech to the gathering, adding that people shouldn’t be afraid to voice their thoughts.
“I believe Vice President Harris is in favor of a future for this nation in which these liberties, along with many others, will be safeguarded and maintained.”
Former President Barack Obama then recited the famous opening words from his 2002 hit song “Lose Yourself” after Em welcomed him to the stage.
Eminem has been critical of Donald Trump in the past, most notably in his 2017 BET Hip Hop Awards freestyle and ninth album Revival, but he has not yet addressed the results of this year’s election.
A year after Trump’s initial election, Slim Shady further attacked the Republican in an interview with longtime friend Elton John, saying: “We have a president who does not care about everybody in our country; he is not the president for all of us, he is the president for some of us.” He is skilled at what he does.
He went on to say: “He doesn’t care about anyone else in America as long as he has his base.” But you know what? We outnumber them in the population. America is remains, in my opinion, the best place to live. This is what I think. However, we have problems that require attention and improvement.
