Lil Durk’s legal troubles have gotten worse because he is now facing more federal accusations related to an alleged murder conspiracy that killed Quando Rondo’s cousin, a rival rapper.

The Chicago rapper, whose actual name is Durk Banks, was arrested in October on charges of conspiracy to commit murder-for-hire in connection with his alleged involvement in Saviay’a “Lul Pab” Robinson’s shooting killing in August 2022.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California charged Durk with two additional offenses in a superseding indictment filed on Thursday, November 7: one count of using, carrying, and discharging firearms and a machine gun, as well as possessing such firearms in furtherance of a crime of violence resulting in death, and one count of using interstate facilities to commit murder-for-hire resulting in death.

The Grammy-winning rapper is now the primary defendant in the case’s superseding indictment, which also names five other men as defendants in connection with the murder.

As of right now, none of the defendants have pleaded to the allegations. In the upcoming weeks, Lil Durk and the other individuals are anticipated to be sent to Los Angeles for arraignment; he is now being held in a Miami jail without bond.

Prosecutors claim that the murder of King Von, who was shot dead after a fight with the rapper’s group two years earlier, was the reason behind the assassination attempt on Quando Rondo that resulted in the death of Lul Pab.

It is alleged that Lil Durk placed a bounty on Rondo’s head and provided funds and resources to his OTF (Only the Family) associates so they could execute the hit.

According to a Justice Department press release, “bank and flight records demonstrate that an OTF member and close associate of [Lil Durk] organized and funded the travel of five co-conspirators from Chicago to California on the day before the murder.”

“Don’t book any flights under any names involved with [sic] me,” [Lil Durk] ordered the OTF associate who was in charge of booking the one-way flights around the time they were bought.

It goes on: “[Lil Durk] also traveled to California in a private jet with another conspirator, Kavon London Grant, 28, also known as ‘Cuz’ and ‘Vonnie,’ on the same day the hitmen left Chicago for California.”

“Later that day, Grant allegedly paid for the other co-conspirators’ hotel room using a credit card in Banks’ name and bought ski masks for the shooters to use in the murder.”

All defendants could receive a maximum sentence of life in prison if found guilty.
