Lil Durk has faced backlash for selling “Free Durk” merchandise at steep prices while being held behind bars on murder-for-hire charges.

His team recently launched a clothing line to support the rapper, who remains in jail without bail.

The collection includes shirts and hoodies, both featuring the slogan “Free Durk,” priced at $45 and $95 respectively.

Fans have criticized the pricing, accusing the rapper and his team of exploiting their support. One fan remarked, “The $95.00 for a made in China hoodie is crazy work.”

Another commented, “Should add an extra 10 years for these damn prices….”A third joked, “Nobody wants that shit keep him locked up.”

Lil Durk is currently being held in Los Angeles after pleading not guilty to charges of murder-for-hire. He may be released on bond following a hearing on December 12, though prosecutors strongly oppose this, alleging he was trying to flee the country before his arrest.

The rapper was initially charged with one count of conspiracy to commit murder-for-hire in connection with a plot that resulted in the death of Quando Rondo’s cousin, Lul Pab. However, a superseding indictment filed on November 7 by the U.S.

Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California added two additional charges: use of interstate facilities to commit murder-for-hire resulting in death, and using, carrying, and discharging firearms, including a machine gun, in furtherance of a crime of violence resulting in death.

The new indictment also names Durk as the lead defendant in the case, which originally charged five other men in connection to the killing. Prosecutors claim the attack on Quando Rondo that led to Lul Pab’s death was retaliation for the murder of King Von, who was fatally shot during a confrontation with Rondo’s crew two years ago.

Durk is accused of placing a bounty on Rondo’s head and funding his OTF (Only The Family) crew to carry out the hit. If convicted, he faces a potential life sentence.
