In an honest conversation with a rising influencer, Lil Baby offered some advice on how to succeed in the music industry.

In a video posted by South Florida-based content creator Stakkzz, Baby responds to the interviewer’s question about guidance in a straightforward and concise manner.

“I believe that the secret to success is to persevere—that is, to keep working hard,” says Wham. “Never give up. Either tomorrow or in four years, you might blow up. It does not have a meter.

The Atlanta rapper responds to a follow-up query regarding consistency in social media posts with the same assurance: “It’s different strokes for different folks.” You can post too much or too little depending on the situation. Therefore, there really isn’t a right response; you should just follow your fan base.

Over the past few years, Lil Baby has had significant success, but not without some loss.

He used social media towards the end of last month to express his grief over the shooting murder of Chad Dillon, his business partner in an Atlanta restaurant.

According to FOX 5 Atlanta, 33-year-old Dillon was shot and killed in a popular area of Atlanta on Tuesday, July 23, and was discovered dead in his car by police.

Along with Lil Baby, Dillon co-owned The Seafood Menu and other Atlanta mainstays like Boiler Seafood and Crab Boil. In addition, he was the city’s first Black proprietor of a seafood restaurant.

There are currently no known suspects or motives, and police are still looking for the shooter.

Baby was one of many who paid their respects to the adored restaurateur, who was called a neighborhood pillar.

He posted a picture of the two of them on Instagram Stories along with the caption, “Damn big buddy get ya rest [dove emoji].”
