The Atlanta rapper launched 2025 with 15 fresh tracks, featuring guest appearances from Travis Scott and GloRilla, among others.
Lil Baby is officially in the mode of making a comeback. On Friday (Jan. 3), the Atlanta rapper released his much-anticipated fourth studio album, WHAM, following months of critics asserting that he had declined.
Beginning with the intricate weave of violin strings in “Listen Up,” Lil Baby assertively proclaimed, “I’m among the hustlers/ Circling these rapping n**gas/ No debate from me.” The energy continues to escalate throughout the 15-track project, featuring Young Thug and Future on the Wheezy-produced “Dumb, Dumb, and Dumber.” Significantly, the track represented the YSL Records founder’s initial guest verse after returning from prison in October 2024.
Lil Baby maintained the momentum with “F U 2x,” “I Promise,” and the collaboration with GloRilla, “Redbone.” Showcased merely days prior to the album’s complete launch, the Memphis artist made a remarkable contribution to the previously mentioned track. “Wait a minute, pause the rhythm, Lil Baby, let me say my piece/ Hey, my ex claims I’ve been letting him have it, I’m truly making waves,” she asserted.
In other parts of the project, audiences are presented with deeper tracks such as “Streets Colder” and “By Myself” featuring Rod Wave and Rylo Rodriguez. Travis Scott and 21 Savage made special guest appearances, contributing their skills to “Stuff” and “Outfit,” respectively.
