He disclosed on Monday (Dec. 30) that the project will feature a web series with 10 episodes.
The anticipation for Lil Baby’s much-anticipated third studio album, WHAM (Who Hard As Me), is still on. On Monday (Dec. 30) night, the Atlanta rapper released another teaser for the upcoming launch, which is set to hit streaming platforms at midnight on Friday (Jan. 3).
“Where I hail from, your passion and hard work [are] essential,” he expressed as the camera panned through his upbringing residence. “It’s what supports you when the challenges are overwhelming.” “What motivates you to improve, to strive more intensely?”
While Wheezy’s production played over different scenes of Atlanta, he added, “In this place, you don’t simply need to survive. You need to demonstrate your worth. “Who is as tough as I am?” The beatmaker had earlier collaborated on pre-release tracks “Insecurities” and “5 AM,” which were ultimately excluded from the final selection.
“The community formed me, shielded me, influenced me.” “It showed me how to hustle, succeed, [and] remain ahead,” Lil Baby stated. The Grammy Award-winning musician’s two sons, Jason and Loyal Armani, also appeared in the film clip.
The video concluded by leading viewers to a pre-save page for WHAM. There, fans encountered 10 locked episodes that are likely set to premiere with or shortly following the album’s launch.
WHAM is scheduled to release 16 tracks, featuring “Dum, Dumb, and Dumber” with Young Thug and Future, as well as “Outfit” with 21 Savage. Other guests featured in the project include Travis Scott, regular collaborator Rylo Rodriguez, Rod Wave, and GloRilla.
The Memphis artist intriguingly shared a glimpse of her collaboration with Lil Baby, titled “Redbone,” on Sunday (Dec. 29). “I’m not pleading with any guy to stick around; I’ll easily let him go. Sure, there are countless other attractive women, but none of them are like me,” she snapped in the attached clip. The pair seems to be creating a music video for the album, although a release date has not been revealed yet.
WHAM will act as a sequel to Lil Baby’s It’s Only Me, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart when it was released. The 2022 release included popular tracks like “Forever” featuring Fridayy and “In A Minute.”
