Following the singer’s DWI arrest, Edward Burke Jr., Justin Timberlake’s attorney, has made a statement.

Burke Jr. issued a statement in support of the “Cry Me a River” star, asserting that there was more going on here than first appeared.

According to Billboard, he stated, “[We] look forward to vigorously defending Mr. Timberlake against these allegations.” When the time is right, he will speak a lot. The DA’s office is currently holding him up for full discovery.

On Monday, June 17, Justin Timberlake was taken into custody in New York on charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated. He was arraigned the following day.

The Sag Harbor Police Department stopped him when he “was observed operating a 2025 BMW southbound on Madison Street, failing to maintain his lane of travel and failing to stop at a duly posted stop sign.”

Additionally, according to his attorney, he allegedly refused a breathalyzer: “The charge was a single count because he refused the breath test.” In addition, Mr. Timberlake faced two more court charges for failing to stop at a stop sign and not staying in the designated lane of driving.

“It was determined that the defendant was operating said vehicle in an intoxicated condition because his eyes were bloodshot and glassy, he had slowed speech, he was unsteady on all standardized field sobriety tests, and a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emanating from his breath,” the police report reads.

Justin Timberlake is cited in the official report as saying, “I had one martini and I followed my friends home.”

On July 26, which also happens to be his scheduled date of performance in Poland as part of his Forget Tomorrow Tour, he will make his next court appearance.

The singer has not yet responded to inquiries about the event.

It was also stated that, in spite of his notoriety, Justin Timberlake was not acknowledged by the arresting officer.

Page Six claims that JT remarked, “This is going to ruin the tour,” leaving the officer perplexed as to what he meant.

In March of this year, Justin Timberlake released Everything I Thought It Was, his sixth studio album.

With over 67,000 album-equivalent units sold in its first week, the project debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 chart, making it the least successful album of his career.
