Khalid has responded to accusations by a previous partner who revealed he is gay and claimed he was abusive in their relationship.

On Monday (November 25), a video posted on social media showed the R&B singer addressing accusations from Hugo Almonte regarding abuse, drug use, and hiring escorts.

He started by saying, “I simply wanted to address a few things here so we can move on from this and put it behind us.” “I believe it’s crucial for me to share my perspective on the situation.”

He went on to say, “Okay, I’m going to address the issue of the pink cocaine.” I have never used cocaine in my entire life. I don’t put myself in those situations. I use marijuana and have a few drinks, but I have never tried cocaine ever, truly.

Khalid refuted the claim of hiring an escort stating, “I have never exchanged money for sexual services.” At any time. I’ve never given money to someone to go out with me, I’ve never given money to someone to be in a relationship with me. Forever.

Me and that guy were in a relationship around four to five years ago, everyone. I haven’t spoken to this man in four years. It’s all arbitrary, I’m unsure of his motives, I’m unsure of his situation. “Mental illness exists.”

The singer of the song “Location” also refuted allegations that he accused Almonte of breaking into his residence and dismissed allegations of being abusive towards him.

I’ve never publicly blamed anyone for breaking into my house. Only my closest circle of people are aware of the break-in. He continued by saying that nobody knew because he did not want everyone to be involved in his personal affairs.

I feel compelled to address this because it’s unsettling to see a few comments portraying me as a manipulative abuser. It seems absolutely insane to me.

Talking about the accounts of abuse can be triggering. Because it is reversed. And that is the most painful part. If you’re familiar with me, you already know that’s not my typical behavior. However, all of this is definitely causing frustration.

I want this to be finished just like you all do. It’s one of the primary reasons I avoid drama and stay uninvolved. I am not fond of this. This is extremely annoying.

The accusations come from social media posts by Almonte, which have since been deleted. Last week, Almonte made several claims about Khalid and shared pictures of them together.

His first message stated: “I was in a relationship with this idiotic singer who is extremely unattractive, but he attempted to frame me by claiming I trespassed into his residence after our breakup. For what reason should I come to your house and do everything if we are no longer together? The ninja emoji used to falsely claim that I broke into his house because I didn’t want him.

He also alleged that a gay R&B singer, whom you adore, once gave him pink cocaine.

After Almonte made a statement online, Khalid verified that he is homosexual.

“I was exposed and the world keeps spinning,” he posted on X. “Let me be clear (lmao), I do not feel ashamed of my sexuality!” Actually, it’s no one’s concern in truth! However, I’m fine with myself, I love all of you.”

He also replied to a fan’s statement of “we accept you” with the response: “I had nothing to hide!”. It’s simply none of your concern.
